POLK COUNTY MUSEUM
Stop in at the museum and step back in time. For the history buffs or just the curious, the Polk County Museum allows you to see firsthand a wealth of history artfully preserved and displayed from May to September. Displays feature a school house from the 1890s, a two-room prairie house built in 1881, a summer kitchen and recreated blacksmith shop to name a few. But don’t let us spoil it all for you. Go explore the past.

CLASSIC CAR CLUB
If you marvel at hot rods, street rods and classic automobiles, don’t miss the Classic Cruisers Car Club on Thursday nights. Also, don’t forget the Classic Cruisers Run to the Park in August during the Ox Cart Days Festival in Central Park.

OX CART DAYS FESTIVAL

We remember the ox carts that once plodded through our prairieland every third weekend in August as we celebrate with our largest festival of the year. The four-day event boosts bed races, pageants, and parades. It is a time to enjoy the outdoors, eat some delicious and sweet food and celebrate.
